The DG018 series has been created to be the brand's first chronograph in their lineup. With the brand's dedication to innovation and value-proposition: We're not just making any ordinary chronograph. The DG018 features a newly introduced innovation with a double edge chronograph seconds hand that allows you to measure heart rate and respiratory rate.
Graduated at 15 pulses and 5 respirations, once the chronograph has been started, you may stop the chronograph once you have measured 15 pulses or 5 respirations, giving you the estimated heart rate or respiratory rate of the patient.
Heart Rate and Respiratory Rate are two of the most important key vital signs to watch out for in patients. Being doctors, our founders wanted to create a timepiece that is dedicated to their profession and introduces De Guzman & Co.'s tour de force as a Filipino watch brand dedicated to innovation and value-proposition.
A 60-minute scale at the 9 o'clock and an AM/PM scale at the 3 o'clock (the light color denoting AM) flank the dial giving the DG018 a unique and distinctive look.
A HYBRID: THE MECHANICAL + QUARTZ MOVEMENT
Powered by the Time Module Inc. (formerly Seiko Instruments Inc.) VK64A hybrid mechanical-quartz movement. The time-keeping is powered by a quartz movement, while the chronograph function is powered by a mechanical module. This gives the chronograph a sweeping seconds hand and a fast snap-back when resetting the chronograph, much like its true mechanical counterpart. While the quartz movement ensures accuracy and hassle-free timekeeping of within +/- 20 seconds per month.

Our attempt in bringing that 70s feel and vibe: The two-tone finish. A bold move as we bring a warmer hue and opulent vibe to the classic steel colorway.
Done in PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) versus the traditional electroplating method, this ensures longevity, resilience, and higher scratch resistance versus traditional electroplating.
A lighter tone of gold (14K) is used versus the more yellow (24K) color to give off a more subtle and classier vibe that meshes well with the theme of class and opulence.
BLACK | STEEL
NEW CASE, DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP
We take pride in our competence as watchmakers and designers, and have designed the new case based on input from our supporters. Our challenge was to make a 38mm case, while retaining the proportions of a much thinner watch despite making the case adaptable to any movement of all thicknesses. In the TMI VK64 movement's case, it is much thicker than the usual quartz or even automatic movements.
We achieved this feat by scalloping the edges to make it appear thinner. The polished bezel has also been stepped from the double domed sapphire crystal, raising the movement, and making the watch appear thinner while also giving the illusion of a vintage acrylic crystal.
These methods allowed us to give an illusion that the watch is only 9.0 mm thick (measured from bottom of case edge to bezel), despite its true thickness of 13.0 mm (measured from caseback to sapphire crystal).
GILT IS BACK
The color of the past. Gilt is back!
Introduced as a printing method for the DG009 and DG010 series, gold paint is used to emulate the appearance of gilt dials in vintage watches.
This tone is perfectly matched to the two-tone color of the DG018 to give off a vintage vibe and look. A look more familiar to vintage watch lovers everywhere!
A NEW BRACELET
AND A NEW STANDARD
2025 and beyond, De Guzman & Co. brings a new standard in their design language. Tapering now to an elegant 16mm. This tapers the bracelet more from its 20mm lugs, giving the watch itself a more commanding presence, with the bracelet as an excellent complement and structure to its design.
The DG018 features a 5-link design with polished center links, and is still screw adjustable with same-sided screw threads which prevent backing out of screws while wearing.
Note: From 2020 to 2024, De Guzman & Co. has always used bracelets that come from a 20mm lug-width to 18mm in the clasp, or even bracelets without tapers (DG013).

IN ONE PACKAGE
Screw-down crown and pushers, sapphire crystal, 100 meters of water resistance*, solid milled 316L case and bracelet. Yes, you read that right, screw down crown and pushers. The chronograph pushers and the crown are all screw-down, ensuring you don't accidentally use/press the chronograph pushers underwater: Which is the primary reason for water ingress when wearing a chronograph underwater as the wrist may press on the pushers.
We have never thought of making watches of this caliber at this price-point. This along with our 2-year limited warranty ensures world class quality and after-sales service.
*Pressing the pushers (i.e. operating the chronograph) when underwater does NOT ensure water resistance.
